Summer Truffle Carpaccio in Olive Oil 140 g
Made in Italy · Fast delivery in Romania and the EU · Secure payment
Open the jar and the scent of forest floor and hazelnut rises at once: this carpaccio brings summer truffle to your plate in its most direct form.
What it is: wafer-thin slices of summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vittad.) preserved in extra virgin olive oil with salt and flavouring. Each jar holds 140 g, of which 100 g are truffle slices (drained weight).
Origin: Made by a family producer in Spello, Umbria. Summer truffle is milder than the black winter truffle, which makes it an easy everyday truffle rather than a once-a-year indulgence.
- Aroma: forest floor, mushroom, a hint of hazelnut
- Taste: gently earthy, softly savoury
- Texture: delicate slices with a light bite
At a glance: net weight 140 g · drained weight 100 g · summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vittad.) · keeps 10 days in the fridge once opened · made in Spello, Umbria.
Real truffle you can see and taste, with every ingredient honestly declared.
How to use
Use straight from the jar, cold or on hot dishes. Do not cook it: add the slices at the very end, on the finished dish, so the aroma stays intact. About 1–2 tablespoons per serving is enough; the oil in the jar is lovely for drizzling.
- Fresh tagliatelle with butter and Parmigiano Reggiano
- Fried or scrambled eggs, or a simple risotto bianco
- Warm bruschetta or beef carpaccio
Wine suggestion: a Montefalco Rosso from Umbria or a mature Pinot Noir.
